Phil Krakouer

Brett Allison

Bio: The brother of the equally talented Jim, Krakouer possessed freakish skills and the amazing ability to pop up out of nowhere and kick great goals.

Having joined the club from Claremont in the WAFL, Krakouer kicked 31 goals in his first season as a 22 year-old and topped the Kangaroos' goalkicking list the following season with 44, a feat he again achieved in 1985 and 1987.

Used mainly on the half-forward flank and wing, he was also a strong ball winner and averaged more than 16 possessions a game.

Phil and Jim had an uncanny knack of being able to find each other with the footy and were one of the most exciting combinations in the VFL throughout the 1980's.

While he played just eight seasons at the club, Krakouer booted 231 goals and played in four finals campaigns.

Bio: Recruited from ACT club Belconnen, Allison made his debut as an 18 year-old and had a big impact in just his second season at the club with 21 goals and seven Brownlow votes.

Used mainly on the half-forward flank and in the forward pocket, he had the ability to step up and kick important goals when they were most needed.

Allison was an integral member of North Melbourne's dominant 90's sides and was always one of the first picked due to his reputation as one of the best crumbing forwards of the era

He played in the 1995 pre-season flag winning side, but experienced the ultimate glory the following year kicking two goals as the Kangaroos' won their third premiership.

In 1997 he booted 43 goals and came third in the best and fairest. He again enjoyed success in 1999 with another premiership.
