FAQ's
I have a standard match day membership.  Does this give me priority access to a finals ticket in week’s 1 to 3 of the finals?

Yes.  All match day members will have priority over non-members when purchasing tickets to the first three weeks of the finals. Full details of this process will be outlined via a dedicated finals information guide which will be sent in the 4th week of August, in the August edition of the Bulldog Magazine, via a dedicated letter in the first week of the finals and throughout the finals series on www.westernbulldogs.com.au and www.afl.com.au/finalstickets .

Where will our seats be for week’s 1 to 3 and the Grand Final if the Western Bulldogs participate?

The AFL ensures that an even number of Premium, Prime, Standard and Restricted/Standing Room are distributed to both competing Clubs for each final. All Western Bulldogs members will be allocated in blocks with other members.

Please refer to www.westernbulldogs.com.au and www.afl.com.au/finalstickets for full seating category locations.

What happens if I do not upgrade to a Premiership or Full Member package and the Western Bulldogs participate in the 2008 Grand Final?

If our guaranteed access ticket quota is exhausted and all of these members register for a ticket at the designated time no tickets will be available to members without a premiership or full member package.

If our guaranteed access ticket quota is not exhausted, there will be a limited number of tickets available to members who have not upgraded to a Full or Premiership member package.  The likely scenario is that 18,000 members will be trying to get access to approximately 1,000 tickets.  These tickets will be allocated via a ballot system.  Full details of this process will be outlined in the August edition of the Bulldog Magazine, via a dedicated grand final ticketing letter in the first week of the finals and throughout the finals series on www.westernbulldogs.com.au and www.afl.com.au/finalstickets .

What happens if the guaranteed grand final access ticket quota is not exhausted?

As has been the case with the competing clubs of the last few grand finals, it is likely that not all eligible guaranteed access members will take up their allocation. Based on this, a ballot for remaining tickets will take place. Full details of this process will be outlined in the August edition of the Bulldog Magazine, via a dedicated grand final ticketing letter in the first week of the finals and throughout the finals series on www.westernbulldogs.com.au and www.afl.com.au/finalstickets .

What order will tickets be allocated once members have registered for a grand final ticket should the Western Bulldogs participate?

Tickets will be allocated in random order in the following three priority groups:

  • Priority 1A: Life Members, Past Players, Westerners, Player Sponsors, Top Dogs, Premiership Gold, Premiership Silver
  • Priority 1B: Full Bronze, Full Cheer Squad, Full General Admission
  • Priority 2: All remaining Season Ticket Members

As tickets are allocated in random order, members can register at any time during designated times for each priority group.

How long will I have to register for a Grand Final ticket if the Western Bulldogs qualify for a preliminary final?

Western Bulldogs members will be able to register at specified times between 8am and 11pm on the designated day. It is very important to note that tickets are allocated in random order so members can register at any time during the specified times for each priority group and still have an opportunity to be allocated with the best available tickets.

If the Western Bulldogs win in week 1 of the 2008 Finals Series the registrations will take place on the following day and specified times:

  • 8:00am to 12:00noon: Priority 1A - Life Members, Past Players, Westerners, Player Sponsors, Top Dogs, Premiership Gold, Premiership Silver
  • 12:00noon to 4:30pm: Priority 1B: Full Bronze, Full Cheer Squad, Full General Admission
  • 5:00pm to 11pm: Priority 2: All remaining Season Ticket Members

If a priority 1A member wants to sit with a member who is priority 1B or 2, they will forfeit their priority status and be processed within the lowest priority group that a member of the group booking belongs too. Eg If the group is made up of a Premiership Gold (priority 1A) and Full General Admission (priority 1B) these tickets would be processed with priority 2 allocations.

Full details of this process will be outlined via a dedicated grand final ticketing letter in the first week of the finals and throughout the finals series on www.westernbulldogs.com.au and www.afl.com.au/finalstickets .

If I have a membership that entitles me to priority 1A access and I want to sit with a member in priority 1B or priority 2, when will my tickets be allocated?

If a priority 1A member wants to sit with a member who is priority 1B or 2, they will forfeit their priority status and be processed within the lowest priority group that a member of the group booking belongs too. Eg If the group is made up of a Westerner (priority 1A) and Full General Admission (priority 1B) these tickets would be processed with priority 1B allocations.
