POSITION DETAILS:

The Sydney Swans are currently accepting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals in the position of Fan Development Executive.

Reporting to the Membership & Fan Development Manager in the Clubs Marketing, Membership & Fan Development Department, this position will have prime responsibility for creating and fostering relationships with other sporting and business bodies to increase casual ticket sales and lead innovation in the migration of supporters into membership and members into greater engagement with the Club.

The Fan Development Executive will work to increase member numbers and casual ticket sales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Grow member numbers and sources of revenue.
  • Relationship development, specifically within the AFL community in NSW and Metropolitan Sydney.
  • Facilitate website content and social media strategy to drive match day casual ticket sales.
  • Support the Membership & Fan Development Department to manage and report on CRM systems.
  • Develop a qualified supporter database and prospect pool.
  • Grow the customer database.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Contemporary marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated brand building experience and understanding of new digital media and web based opportunities.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships. Able to foster relationships quickly and easily with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Proven people management experience.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working in the sporting industry.
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office).
  • Connections within the AFL and business community.
