Travis Boak, Nathan Krakouer, Justin Westhoff and Adam Cockshell are all in line for their first game in Power colours on Saturday night in Darwin.
The new draftees were all named in a 28-man squad on Thursday afternoon, from which an extended team of 26 will take on Geelong.
It means at least two players will pull on a Power guernsey for the first time this weekend.
Arguably first in line would be No. 5 draft pick Travis Boak who played in the ‘probables’ team in the Power’s internal trial two weeks ago. The 18-year-old looked to have accomplished skills in the shortened game.
The game looks like it will also mark the return from injury for Toby Thurstans who missed the win over the Crows last Friday night after a slight injury while playing as a key defender in the internal trial game a week earlier.
Brad Symes, who had a brilliant 2006 until a groin problem ended his season a little early, will play his first pre-season match also.
Two players will miss Saturday night’s match after playing in the win over the Crows.
Steven Salopek, one of the Power’s best players last week, got a kick in the calf at training on Wednesday and will miss the clash with the Cats. The club is hopeful he will only need one week off.
Daniel Motlop has been left out of the side due to missing a training session earlier in the week.
The Power and the Cats will both have an extended interchange of eight players on Saturday night due to the expected heat and humidity in Darwin.
