Richmond fans have the chance to celebrate the workers of Australia by representing their profession during the pre-match entertainment of the club’s Round 2 match against North Melbourne.

The two clubs have joined forces to create the Eureka Game on Sunday, March 30 at the MCG.

The Eureka Game intends to recognise, celebrate and educate football followers about the important role workers have played in shaping and advancing Australian life over many generations since the events of Eureka.

“We are blessed to be living in this country and I applaud these two great clubs for joining to thank and celebrate the contribution of the worker to this nation,” Sheedy said.

A highlight of the Eureka Game celebrations will be the 100 workers in uniform representing their profession by marching on-field and creating guard of honour for the two teams to enter the arena.

“What a wonderful opportunity for fans to represent their chosen professions on the MCG as we thank the workers of Australia.”

To nominate to be involved in the pre-match entertainment the club asks you email your name, occupation, employer, contact details and member number to eureka@richmondfc.com.au

If successful, nominees will be contacted with further match day details.

Game Day festivities begin at Punt Road from 2pm with a great Australian BBQ along with family activities and entertainment for the fans.
