After the 22-year-old collected an equal career-high 42possessions against Adelaide on Saturday, some bookmakers have already movedHannebery into a $9 chance (equal with reigning Brownlow medallist JobeWatson), while others are expected to make the move when markets re-open.
Meanwhile, the red-hot Ablett is a short-priced favourite to take out hissecond Brownlow, already at $2 with some agencies.
TAB Sportsbet's Trent Langskaill told AFL.com.au Hannebery wasinto $15 ahead of round 11 and would shorten further.
"He has certainly been the big firmer of the season,"Langskaill said.
"There always seems to be one or two during a seasonand this year it is clearly Dan Hannebery now.
"We had [Michael] Barlow a couple of years ago until hebroke his leg and he was the absolute bolt out of the blue.
"Most people at the start of the year had [Gary]Ablett, [Jobe] Watson, Sam Mitchell and others and so forth but Hannebery hasbeen one that's come from absolutely nowhere."
The 2010 NAB AFL Rising Star caught the eye of punters inround five when he collected 30 disposals against St Kilda to win the Anzac Medalat Westpac Stadium in Wellington.
But to win the medal, Hannebery will have to beat the Suns'superstar skipper who is sizzling form.
Langskaill said Ablett was $3.50 ahead of this round wouldbe trimmed again following his 33-possession game in the Suns' 15-point winover North Melbourne.
"He's the clear favourite now," Langskaill said
"Two weeks ago, him and Jobe Watson were equalfavourites at $5.50.
"Considering last week, despite the fact they got runover in the last quarter by Geelong, he was probably best on, and again onSaturday night.
Last year Ablett polled 24 votes (six behind the winner,Watson) despite the Suns winning just three games for the year. This season theSuns have already won five games.
