Midfielder Sharrod Wellingham caught up with second-game Magpie Luke Rounds on Monday morning during the club’s recovery session at the Westpac Centre.
The premiership player interviewed Rounds about his task on Sunday, playing on North Melbourne captain Brent Harvey.
The 20-year-old ran with the 316-game veteran for 87 minutes and held the skipper to just 10 disposals, while accumulating 11 himself.
“I found out on Thursday, off Mick, that my role for the weekend was to play on ‘Boomer’ Harvey,” Rounds said on CTV.
“He is a very experienced player having played over 300 games for the Kangaroos.
“In my second game I was a bit nervous with that challenge but I got a lot of help from the boys down back,” he added.

Drafted from the Geelong Falcons under 18s with the 46th overall pick at the end of 2008, Rounds has been developing well as a tough midfielder/half forward in the Magpies’ VFL side.
The young Magpie admitted he was nervous ahead of the contest but acclimatised to the challenge as the game wore on.
“It was a pretty big role.
“I learned a lot of him (Harvey). Just his smarts around the contest. Behind play and his running patterns. It will help me with my football.
“It was good experience and one I take a lot out of.”
Rounds aims to maintain his spot in the 22 by performing the role the coaching staff outline for him in the lead up to the next game.
“I will just try to play my role each week and hopefully it keeps me in the side.
“(It was) good experience to play close to a full game. Hopefully there is another one not too far away.”
