The Saints this morning completed a full skills session set against the spectacular scenery of Queenstown’s, The Remarkables. With New Zealand’s finest mountains set as the stunning backdrop, the boys trained hard and split into group to practice numerous drills and set plays.

Senior Coach Ross Lyon said, “The boys trained hard today and the scenery of The Remarkables was sensational. It’s not every day you get to train in surrounding like these” he said.

With only two days remaining of the Club’s training camp in Queenstown, Ross said his players were in good shape and were looking forward to playing footy in just over three weeks, when the Saints meet the Bombers and Lions in their first round encounter of the preseason NAB Cup competition.

“This has been a great training camp and it has been the Club’s first in four years, so it’s been good to get everyone together and enable us to prepare to challenge again in 2001” Lyon said.

While the boys only have one more full day left of the camp before returning to Melbourne on Saturday, there is no doubting that New Zealand has been a hit with the playing group, with many indicating that they would definitely make the trip back again one day.
