An exciting ruck prospect as a teen, Hugh was forced to retire from football in April 2008 at the tender age of 20 due to a degenerative knee injury and has since mixed study at Bond University on the Gold Coast with many travel adventures.
His next adventure begins on January 1st, 2011 where he’ll be competing in the Rikshaw Run around India, a race to raise money for FRANK Water Projects. This fantastic charity has provided 58 safe drinking water projects in India to date, and with the money raised in the Rikshaw Run are hoping for many more.
Hugh’s team, aptly named ‘Tuk It Easy’, is aiming to raise £8,500 and is already 85% of the way to their goal. With your help they’ll reach their goal by January 1st.
