The Role:
The GM Strategy and Projects is a newly created role within the Adelaide Football Club, focused on the end to end delivery of a number of new key Club projects. The Club aims to embark upon a new program of work to drive new and innovative business outcomes going forward. The successful candidate will be tasked with scoping, structuring and analysing key strategic initiatives across the Club. The range and scale of projects will be varied so the ability to cope with competing and changing priorities is of critical importance. We are seeking an analytical strategist who has exceptional strategic problem solving skills and has the ability to drive and implement a number of key projects.
The GM Strategy and Projects will have overall responsibility for all aspects of project delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing, scoping and delivering projects end to end varying in scale and complexity.
- Supporting the Club CEO and COO on numerous, commercial, strategic and growth projects.
- Responsibility for scoping out projects, along with the financial modeling and associated feasibility of identified projects.
- Responsibility for developing and managing project budgets, timelines, schedules, plans and internal communications.
- Monitoring the progress of projects to ensure that key milestones and performance indicators are met.
- Preparing and presenting on project status to be shared with the Clubs Executive team.
- Engaging and managing a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will have a reputable management consulting background having developed strategy for organisations that have ultimately supported the business to grow the bottom line. Ideally looking for candidates that have analytics, operational and stakeholder management experience.

- A relevant degree or post graduate qualification (MBA) with proven experience in delivering complex projects.
- Experience in a consultancy, legal or commercial environment.
- IT and technology consulting skills to drive business growth, efficiency and positive business outcomes.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interpret and articulate key messages.
- Strong report writing skills – providing clarity in both content and structure.
- Financial modelling expertise
You will be able to work proactively, autonomously and under pressure, whilst maintaining strong attention to detail. You will be a person that thrives in a dynamic, fast paced and constantly evolving environment.
