Teammates in the Lions' hat-trick of premierships from 2001-2003, Voss and Brown seem increasingly likely to be together again next year.
Brown said after the players butchered the first part of the season, and injuries hampered the middle, the Lions had shown in recent weeks just how good they could be under Voss' coaching.
They have won three successive matches, and four of their past five, and a win over Port Adelaide on Sunday would put the Lions right back in the finals mix.
"I think we're starting to see the last couple of weeks how well the side's coming together and how well it's coached," Brown said.
"Hopefully now we're starting to give everyone some encouragement and people are starting to realise Vossy's doing a pretty good job."
Although not having spoken to the club about his own future yet, the 31-year-old forward said his body was feeling in good shape.
He missed Saturday night's win over Melbourne with a hip injury and said he was getting more confident as the week wore on that he would line up against the Power.
Brown will do the main training session on Thursday and assess his chances from there.
But as for playing on into a 15th season, he will make a decision after the Lions' year ends.
"I feel pretty good, but I'd just rather play the year out," he said.
"There's all sorts of factors, but team (success) is a big factor. You want your team to be going in the right direction, which I think we are, no doubt about it.
"We know we're not a premiership side this season, we're building towards the future, but we can't go backwards this year because I think we made good ground last year.
"I'm physically in pretty good nick, but at this stage I'm just worried about finishing the year off strong and helping us win some important games at the end of the year."
Brown said if he couldn't play on Sunday, he would be a certain starter the following week against St Kilda.
