Following another sickening head knock on Saturday night, Brown suggested he may retire but said his family would not be pushing him.
Brown told the Sunday Footy Show he was not frightened by the thought of hanging up the boots but was committed to playing the season out.
"The family support is there, there's no pressure either way to hang up the boots," he said.
"You obviously have to weigh up these things. I'm getting to the end of my career.
"At the end of the day if that's it, there's nothing I can do about it, but I'm leaning towards playing."

On Monday, Lions vice-captain Tom Rockliff said seeing Brown lay prone on Saturday night was "scary".
It was the latest in a series of head knocks that have seen Brown undergo numerous operations on his face, although the 32-year-old escaped with just a dose of concussion on this occasion.
Rockliff said with Brown's wife Kylie expecting their third child any day, his decision should be family and not football-based.
"He's got to decide what's best for him," Rockliff said.
"He can't put us in front of him and his happiness after footy.
"It's vital for him to hang around for us for our young developing group, but if he decided to call it a day, then that's his decision and we'd stick beside him whichever way he goes."
Brown, who lives on the Gold Coast, was at the club recovering on Monday.
He will have concussion tests during the week, but with the Lions making the long trip west to play Fremantle, is unlikely to play regardless as they try to nurse his ageing body through the season.
Rockliff said he hoped Brown would stick around for as long as possibly but added: "it's totally up to him".
