ESSENDON veteran Dustin Fletcher faces yet another stint on the sidelines after the match review panel charged him with kneeing Hawthorn’s Beau Muston during Friday night’s match at the MCG.

Fletcher’s poor recent record - he has already served a suspension for tripping this season - means the incident has attracted a penalty of 307.50 demerit points and a three-match ban.

The defender can have the suspension reduced to two games with an early plea.

Carlton’s Jarrad Waite also faces a three-match ban after being booked for engaging in rough conduct against Fremantle defender Paul Duffield.

Waite, who had already been reported twice this season and suspended once, can have the penalty reduced to two weeks with an early plea.

Fellow Blue Andrew Carazzo has been fined $2600 for making contact with an umpire during the clash with Freo.

An early plea can reduce the fine to $1950.

There’s better news for Carlton skipper Chris Judd. The incident in which he made contact with the head of Matthew Pavlich during the third quarter of Saturday night’s game was reviewed, but it wasn’t deemed a reportable offence.

Fremantle big man Kepler Bradley has been reprimanded for striking Bret Thornton during the same game.

He can escape with only 45 points being added to his future record if he pleads guilty.

Brisbane Lions players Michael Rischitelli and Sam Sheldon, along with Richmond’s Jake King and Jack Riewoldt, have been fined $1600 for engaging in a melee at the Gabba on Saturday night.

They can all have their penalties reduced to $1200 if they lodge early guilty pleas.

Contact between Essendon's Jake Melksham and Chance Bateman of Hawthorn in the fourth quarter of Friday night's match at the MCG was also examined, but no reportable offence was found after interview evidence from both players.
