ANY trade involving both Daniel Motlop and Carlton’s Andrew Walker remains a possibility as trade week reaches its conclusion today.

Tom Petroro, who’s company Stride Management looks after both players, remains uncertain what will happen as the day comes to a close.

“It could come up at 1 o’clock or 1.30pm today,” he speculated of any trade for either player on AFL.com.au’s Trade Week Radio, with Walker still being courted by both Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs. All trades must have their paperwork submitted to the AFL by 2pm EDST.

Petroro said that any move for Daniel Motlop, who is managed by Petroro’s offsider Anthony McDonald, would free up room in the salary cap for Port Adelaide to snare the Carlton utility, who was drafted at pick 2 in the 2003 NAB AFL Draft.

Former Kangaroo Nathan Thompson, hosting the morning session on AFL.com.au’s Trade Week Radio, said that he believed there was no way that the Power would give up their first selection - draft pick 16 - for any deal involving Walker.

“They’d love Andrew Walker at their footy club,” he said, with Port’s second pick in the draft a possibility to change hands in any deal for the 24 year old, who is still contracted to the Blues for a further year.
