Matthew Pavlich can’t wait for Sunday’s season opener against Adelaide at Subiaco Oval.

The Fremantle skipper said that after a long pre-season, round 1 couldn’t come quickly enough.

“We been training since late October, we’ve been doing match-like drills for the best part of three months and we have been playing for six weeks,” he said. “It’s a long time to be practicing and training.

“We’re looking forward to getting off to a big start.”

The visiting Crows will be greeted by a sea of purple, with round 1 being the annual Purple Haze Game for Fremantle.

Fans are encouraged to wear as much purple as possible to support Fremantle and help the Starlight Foundation raise money and brighten the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children, and their families.

You can help make a difference by donating at the round one game or by visiting Purple Haze Ambassador Des Headland’s Everyday Hero webpage.

It’s as easy as clicking this link: http://www.everydayhero.com.au/des_headland

As in previous years, Fremantle will wear their all purple playing strip for the round 1 game and members and supporters are encouraged to do likewise to be in the running to win a fantastic prize!

The Purple Play Off competition will see one lucky member or supporter in the crowd walk away with a 42” plasma television if they are crowned the best dressed - all you have to do is wear purple!

Make sure you are at Subiaco to help Fremantle and Starlight get season 2010 off with a bang.
