The Adelaide Football Club is one of eighteen teams participating in the AFL. The Club has a proven track record of success both on and off the field.

This is an exciting time to join our Club as we are experiencing growth and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the Adelaide Football Club’s move to Adelaide Oval! We are seeking an energetic, highly organised and proactive Media Manager to join our Communications Team.

Reporting to the General Manager Communications, you will be responsible for media strategy and planning, liaising between Club personnel and the media, managing press conferences and releases, and ensuring spokespersons are briefed on a wide range of issues. You will also assist the General Manager Communications with all other communication areas, including website, publications and digital.

In order to be successful in this role, you will:-
  • Have media experience or have worked in a similar role
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have experience in new digital technology and website Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Have the ability to analyse issues, evaluate solutions, develop conclusions and recommendations
  • Be able to develop and execute strategies for media coverage
Highly developed interpersonal communication and client management skills are important for this role. You will be organised, able to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines, be available to work on match days and travel when required.
