Kieran Butler returns to the 2008 Melbourne International Comedy Festival for four nights only in his critically acclaimed; sold out, stand up show “Kieran Butler claims Collingwood ruined my Life – The 1977 Grand Final Replay”.
Just recently, after hearing him perform his regular spot on SEN radio, Kieran was invited by Eddie McGuire to perform at the official 2008 CFC Season Launch where he entertained the audience with his brand new song “Star of the County Down” for Martin Clarke & Kevin Dyas.
This year, “Collingwood ruined my Life” will be performed at the Grace Darling Hotel – the birthplace of Collingwood Football Club. You can enjoy dinner, a glass of wine (or pot of beer) and the show all for just $42. The set menu is published on the booking page for the show.
Since last years comedy festival “Collingwood ruined my Life” has travelled to Brisbane for the Queensland Magpies – just hours before Pies beat the Lions at the Gabba - and has performed successful seasons at the 2007 Melbourne Fringe and the 2008 Adelaide Fringe.
Kieran had a busy 2007, returning to the Edinburgh Fringe where his show “Che Guevara on the Fringe” was an official sell out show, garnering a four star review from The Scotsman.
You may also have seen Kieran on Channel Seven’s coverage of the 2008 Men’s Australian Open Final performing his song for Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. The film clip for the “Tsonga Song” has now clocked up nearly 4000 hits on youtube.com.
