The entire Adelaide playing group teamed up with students from Scotch College on Tuesday to support Toyota’s involvement in Planet Ark’s National Tree Day.

Led by Toyota ambassadors Kurt Tippett and Nathan van Berlo, the players rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty, planting trees across the junior school campus.

Crow Jack Gunston said it was a wonderful community program to be involved with.

“Planting a tree is such an easy way to make a positive impact on the environment and our community,” Gunstan said.

“Growing up trees were our sporting equipment. If there were no goal posts around you’d find a couple of trees to use instead.

“If we all simply plant a tree think about the difference we can make.”

Planet Ark, in partnership with Toyota and its Dealer Network, encourages all Australians to come together with their local school, community or sporting group and plant trees and give back to their local environment.

As Australia’s biggest community tree planting event, National Tree Day and Schools Tree Day are responsible for the planting of more than 16 million native trees and shrubs by around 2.5 million volunteers over the years.
