CARLTON remains locked in stalemate with West Coast over Chris Judd, with the two clubs failing to reach an agreement as trade week passes the halfway mark.

With Friday's 2pm deadline nearing, the Blues are yet to deal with the Eagles regarding the Brownlow medallist and premiership captain, and remain deep in negotiations with club officials.

"Nothing has really changed from Tuesday night," a Carlton spokesman said on Wednesday evening, after reports emerged a deal had been done.

"We can confirm negotiations are continuing. That's all you can say."

It appears the Blues remain in the box seat after Richmond director of football Greg Miller said on Wednesday he believed the Tigers were merely "keeping Carlton honest" in negotiations, and remained "very doubtful" Judd would make the shift to Punt Road.
