Team GWS is currently building the foundations for the first AFL team for Greater Western Sydney and has a bold vision to develop the most exciting and talented young playing list in Australia that will represent the almost two million people of the region.

Critical to this will be the club’s ability to effectively promote and market itself across a number of unique communities using engaging and diverse community programs and events.

The position of Community Coordinator will help deliver this by coordinating and assisting with strategies across all the major community stakeholders and engaging these communities with meaningful programs. 

In particular the Community Coordinator will be responsible for:
• Assisting with the coordination and development of community programs
• Assessing, managing and responding to all player appearance requests and donations
• Managing the Team GWS School Program

Team GWS are searching for people with the following skills and experience:
• Ability to communicate with children and adults
• A strong working knowledge of the AFL or other major sporting organisations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadline
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
