Cats star Paul Chapman has accepted the charge of striking Liam Picken of the Western Bulldogs but will be able to play against Carlton.

Chapman was charged with intentionally striking Picken, with low impact to the body. That equates to 125 points, which reduced by 25% with the early guilty plea. That leaves Chapman with 93.75 points.

The penalty however rules the star Cat out of contention for the Brownlow medal.
