ADELAIDE'S Courtney Gum has picked up where she left off in her stunning debut NAB AFL Women's season, winning a premiership with South Adelaide in the SANFL Statewide Super Women's League.
South Adelaide, coached by Gum's partner Krissie Steen, was favourite going into the Grand Final against Norwood at Peter Motley Oval on Anzac Day, having lost only once in the 10-match season.
The Panthers shot to an early 17-point lead before Redleg and Adelaide Crow Sally Riley (16 disposals) kicked a goal to level the scores halfway through the third term.
Gum (20 touches) kicked a fourth-quarter goal to put her team six points up, before a rushed behind saw the final margin at five points.
South Adelaide defender Cheyenne Hammond (22 touches) was awarded the medal for best on ground.
Anne Hatchard, who plays at either end of the ground for the Crows, played in the ruck for South Adelaide and finished with 21 touches and a goal.
Former Crow Monique Hollick, who was delisted after the first AFLW season, topped Norwood's disposal tally with 20.
