I have 2 special memories of Moorabbin. First was Barry Breen's 300th game in 1982 against Footscray. St Kilda were behind for most of the day before storming home in the final quarter, with Robert Mace, who kicked 7 goals for the day running down the wing and putting us in front and giving Baz a wonderful memorable victory. The whole stand shook as the Saints fans went into rapture as Mace put the goal through. Secondly was the day against Carlton when Big Tony kicked 10.9 and sealed the win in the last moments as Nicky Winmar put the ball onto his chest. In both games the atmosphere was absolutely electric, and I can honestly say that I have not experienced such excitement in any St Kilda home and away games besides these two . Wonderful memories of a wonderful ground. Thanks for the memories Moorabbin.
