EACH week, melbournefc.com.au’s Matt Burgan will answer questions from Melbourne supporters relating to the club. Please send in your questions to ‘Ask Matt’ by emailing to editor@melbournefc.com.au

Keith ‘Bluey’ Truscott Memorial Trophy
Hi Matt, loving your work. Was wondering whether you could give us a run-down of the voting system for the ‘Bluey’ Truscott, namely who votes and how many votes are given out every week?
Mark Dellora, London.

Matt says: After each round, the four members of the match committee rate the best players with a score out of four. There is no limit to the number of players who can receive votes. The maximum amount of votes a player can receive per round is 16. In 2009, the top five were Aaron Davey (82 votes), Brent Moloney (69), Cameron Bruce (56), Matthew Bate (47) and Nathan Jones, Colin Sylvia and Matthew Warnock (44).

Where are they now?
Recently enjoyed the article on Nathan Brown and wondered if you were planning more articles of this kind? Something along the lines of where are they now? I often wonder what has become of players cut from the list and those who have retired. I am sure other supporters would have similar interest.
Bruce van den Berg

Matt says: Glad you enjoyed it! Club historian Lynda Carroll, who has a wealth of knowledge on Melbourne, has started writing ‘Where are they now?’ stories for melbournefc.com.au. As well as Nathan Brown, she also wrote a piece on Hassa Mann recently. Expect one next week …

DVD premierships
I have been a Melbourne supporter my whole life (56 years old). I want to know is there anywhere or anyway to get a DVD of one of Melbourne successful premierships.
Garry Dunn

Matt says: I have checked with club historian Lynda Carroll about this. She said: “to the best of my knowledge, there is limited last quarter footage available of the 1964 grand final. Some of that footage is on the DVD ‘It’s a Grand Old Flag’. I have heard that there might be more material available, but have not sighted it myself.  It would certainly be a ‘must watch’ if it did in fact turn up.  At least with what is available at present, we get to see the victory actually happening!” Retail manager Tom MacDonald also said he had checked with ‘Name a Game’, which has titles from 1965.
