COLLINGWOOD emerged as a main player in what will go down as one of the quietest AFL trade weeks since the inception of the player exchange period.

Despite playing down its interest earlier in the week, the Magpies were involved in two deals on the final day of trade week.

One will see Rhyce Shaw and draft pick 61 head to the Sydney Swans in exchange for Collingwood's pick 46, while Brisbane Lion Anthony Corrie will head to the Lexus Centre for pick 93.

Collingwood football manager Geoff Walsh, who earlier this week denied reports Shaw was on the trade table, said his club was satisfied with the week's outcome.

"Rhyce made his intentions clear that he wanted to have a look around, and as the week unfolded it became clear that [it] was best for both parties if we try to effect a trade and we've done that today," Walsh said.

"I think we're all pretty happy."

Corrie appears to be one of the steals of this year's AFL trade week, the 24-year-old Lion only costing the Magpies pick 93 in November's national draft.

Walsh believes Corrie, who played 53 senior matches for Brisbane after being drafted with pick 44 in the 2002 national draft, will be able to fill a variety of roles at his new club.

"He's someone that we think will help us," Walsh said.

"He's a good running player who can play midfield, half forward, wing. Again, you don't do any of these things unless you're happy, so yeah we're happy today."

The Magpies were reportedly interested in luring Demon Brad Green to the Lexus Centre, but it emerged on Friday afternoon that the Melbourne midfielder had re-signed with his club.

"We spoke to Brad early in the week but I think we knew pretty early nothing was going to happen there," Walsh said.

"He's signed with Melbourne, I think … so that's the best result for him and the club as well."
