CARLTON vice-captain Nick Stevens has been nominated for the 2008 AFL Goal of the Year for his brilliant and inspirational play against the Pies on Sunday. Stevens applied multiple efforts before finding the loose ball in a packed goal square and kicking a freakish goal off the ground.

Blues’ fans can view and vote for Stevens’ goal at www.afl.com.au/markgoal.  Voting is open from the Monday after each round through to the following Sunday night.

At the end of the 22-round Toyota AFL Premiership season, the AFL All-Australian Selection Committee will decide the overall winner from the 22 weekly winners.

The awards will be the presented during grand final week.
