The telecommunications leader invited 80 clients to attend a money can’t buy experience at the Allan Scott Power Headquarters, where the participants had the opportunity to have a 1 on 1 training session with leading players from the club.
Players such as Dom Cassisi, Troy Chaplin, Dean Brogan, Brett Ebert, David Rodan, Justin Westhoff, Alipate Carlile, Jacob Surjan, Steven Salopek, Chad Cornes, Kane Cornes, Matt Thomas and Danyle Pearce took the group though their paces in the new indoor training facility.
The session included a series of training drills, similar to those the players complete during regular training.
Garry Hocking (former AFL Superstar and Power Assistant Coach) also took the group on an “inner sanctum” tour of the new facilities, so that the guests could touch and feel the environment of an AFL Club.
The day concluded with a high tempo scratch match, where Troy Chaplin and David Rodan took on umpiring responsibilities.
After the conclusion of the match, all guests and players headed over to the Port Club for lunch, where a very special presentation took place. Jodie (pictured right) who is a massive Power fan was presented with a brand new custom made wheelchair, made possible from a generous donation from Vodafone. Facing an everyday challenge with Muscular Dystrophy, Jodie was not only able to receive the new wheelchair, but also able to meet some of her Football Heroes.
The Port Adelaide Football Club would like to thank Vodafone for making this day possible and for all the support in 2010.
