GRAND final replay tickets allocated to Collingwood and St Kilda members have sold out in six hours.

A total of 40,000 tickets - up from the 25,000 usually allocated to competing clubs - were sold between 9am and 3pm on Monday. They were expected to be on sale until 5pm.

As a result of the huge interest in the rematch, there will be no public tickets available for the game, which will be played on Saturday afternoon at the MCG.

AFL full members with a club support package for Collingwood or St Kilda will have their chance to buy tickets from 9am on Tuesday.

Earlier on Monday, AFL CEO Andrew Demetriou said the League would look to allow some underprivileged members of the community access to tickets.

“We will be providing some tickets for people who would never get a chance to see a grand final,” Demetriou said on Monday on 3AW.

He said the AFL would make sure those underprivileged members of the community were catered for regardless of the strength of ticket sales.
